The Author
My name is Roberta Palermo. I am 38 years old, an Architecture and City
Planning graduate, and I worked for eight years as a teacher in a bilingual
child education school with two-year-olds. In November 2005, we inaugurated
SEE-SAW Babies, an area for mother/baby integration and stimulation.
For 11 years I have been the stepmother of two children, 15-year-old
Tiago and 12-year-old Julia. Since the beginning of our relationship
I was able to identify the troubles we would face and as time went by
people were amazed at how smooth things were going.
I have always liked to give suggestions, guide and advise my friends,
and I thought that if I wrote a book about this experience I could also
help other people who are or will be in this situation. In order to
broaden my knowledge base, I finished the Family Therapy course at “Escola
Paulista de Medicina”, in 2006 coordinated by psychologist Maria
Rita D'Angelo Seixas. In this book I demonstrate that the relationship
works and can be successful, it depends on some crucial factors.
What am I doing wrong?
What are the most common mistakes of stepmothers?
If these are your doubts, I believe I can help you.
The book’s release was on June 26, 2002, at Saraiva Mega Store
in Morumbi Shopping. Take a look at the pictures!
